Small budget decoration ideas

You don’t have to be wealthy to have a stunning home. It’s enough if you have some imagination.

Here’s a few ideas how to decorate your home to look personal and stylish with a smaller budget.

Use what you have

There is no need to get everything as new. It’s sustainable to utilize what you already own. Use post cards, photos or old magazine covers as wall decorations. If you’re creative, draw or paint pictures of your own.

If you have leftover glass jars lying around the house, there are multiple ways to turn them into unique decoration pieces. Paint the jars with groovy colors or ornaments. Build a tiny greenhouse in a jar. Place candles, marbles, or LED light chains inside the jars. Use jars and bottles as kitchen storage units for pasta, tea or spices and make a nice arrangement out of them.

Re-paint your old furniture with new colors. Rearrange everything. Rummage your closets and get inspired with the things you find.

Use what you can get

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. People often give away things that have become useless to them. Look for free giveaway groups in social medias. Exchange things and decoration ideas with your friends.

Use what you can find

Go outdoors to pick pinecones, autumn leaves, rocks, seashells and wildflowers. Just remember before collecting something from the nature, to make sure it’s permitted.

Paint the rocks, create an art piece out of the shells and make seasonal flower arrangements.

Hit the flea markets and bargain sales

Go explore the flea markets on your area. If there is something in a design store you just need to have and can’t get from anywhere else, be patient and wait for the sales.
